"Nature Walk" is one of the new stamp sets in the New Occasions Mini Catalog. I love it! It is a great set for "collage stamping" and it coordinates with the new "Botanical Gazette" Designer Series Paper.

It has a poem and the bag is filled with an envelope of Hot Chocolate, a peppermint Candy Cane, Mini Marshmellows, and a piece of chocolate.
Every year I send Snowman soup to my Nieces and Nephews for Christmas. This year, I found this cute little bag on Stampin' Connection and had to make it.
The poem on the tag reads:
If you do not have the Big Shot or the Fancy Box Die, here are measurements to make a bag.
You will need a 5"x 11" piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Score horizontally at 2-1/4", 5-1/4", 7-1/2" and 10-1/2".
Score Vertically at 1-1/2".
Cut out and discard the smallest corner.
Cut the score marks up to the 1-1/2" score mark for the bottom of the box.
Fold in and adhere.

Can you believe it??!! Christmas is only one week away!
Now is when it becomes stressful to get everything done that you have planned for this holiday. But, remember, your friends are in the same week as you. Why not have them over to work together on unfinished projects? That is exactly what I did and it was GREAT! We sat at the table finishing tags, gifts, Christmas cards... We had all brought something for lunch together...it was a great way to spend the holiday with friends, food and stamping fun. I made these gift tins. I bought the tins from the Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack, filled them with Candy and made the tags. You could use any type of tin, or box. I also have some of the wooden boxes from Michael's that I am going to cover with Designer Paper. It is a fun and simple gift!

I punched out the shape with the ornament punch and then used the shaped hole as a stencil. With the stencil in place, I sponged Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock and then I stamped and stenciled the images inside the ornament. Can you see the Shimmer Paint snowflakes? I removed the stencil and placed the ornament shape, that I had punched, over the shape as a mask to stamp the Frost White Shimmer Paint snowflakes.
It was fun and easy and I love the elegance of this card.
I think this will be my Christmas Card for my family this year! I think I will use the Platinum Shimmer Paint next time. I bet it would look very dramatic!

This is very simple to make. It is 3 card folds adhered together.
I wanted this one to fit my 4x6 pictures.
So, I cut the base at 9-3/4" x 6-1/2" and scored it at 4-1/4". It will not be scored in the center because I wanted the right card to overlap in the front.
The right piece (Crumb Cake) is 8-1/2" x 6-1/4" and scored at 4-1/4"
I enjoyed my morning with Sophie in my lap, my coffee warm and making these Christmas Cards while listening to the fire crackle in the fireplace. What a great way to start the day. I love this artful hobby!
This card really shows how elegant Stampin' Up!'s Whisper White Cardstock is. You can get white cardstock anywhere, right? Sure, but your work might look ordinary. Whisper White Cardstock, however, is Exquisite!
I love using the Pearl Gems! This card really shows off the beautifully vintage Deck the Halls Designer Paper in the Holiday Mini Catalog.
I saw both of these wonderful cards on SC. Thank you Stampin' Up! for such a great resource!

This card will hold any "Fun size" candy bar, a Dove Chocolate or a Ghirardelli Square.
Use the Big Shot and the new embossing folder in the Holiday Mini Catalog (p. 6) to emboss the Web design on a 2-3/4" square piece of Basic Black Cardstock.
With a dauber, brush Platinum Shimmer Paint across the embossed image (Page 195 in the 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalog).
Punch a hole through front and back for the ribbon closure.
I used a glue dot to adhere the candy inside.
Decorate with the "Wicked Cool" stamp set and the Oval and Scalloped Oval Punches.

"Collage Stamping" is a technique where you layer images and embellishments to create a collage. It is one of my favorite techniques because I get to stamp alot! It was fun doing this technique digitally. I love the effect!
Recently, the gals at our demonstrator meeting were teasing me because I talk about my bathtub. I had to take a picture to show them my little place of serenity! It is fun to scrapbook pictures of little things that make us happy. Once I did a photo box of just my backyard with flowers, the bird feeder, tomatoes. All these little things are enjoyable in life and it is nice to have pictures to reflect on them. I would love to see the little things that make YOU happy. Your scrapbook room? Your holiday table? A Quilt?

For the ATV enthusiast, Iron County has the largest ATV trail system in Wisconsin, with more than 200 miles of scenic trails.
Patti provided good food, a nice place for us to work, and great friends to visit with!
These are a couple of the projects we did at Patti's workshop in Hurley, WI.
(Not all the projects are posted yet because I have another workshop coming up soon and I don't want to spoil the surprise for Jack and Gretchen! )
The "Gate Fold" card.
We used a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Cardstock and scored it at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8" to make this fold. This finished card fits into a standard invitation size envelope
(5-1/2" x 4-1/4").
I demonstrated several tools with this design. We used the Circle Cutter, the Big Shot and Embossing Folder, Punches, The Cutter Kit and we did some sanding.
"Tags Til Christmas"
This is the new set on page 24 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. It coordinates with several punches, and punches are always fun to use. Everyone had the chance to see how creative they really are with this project!
Here are the measurements for the box:
(Click on the image to enlarge it)
The first piece that is scored 1/2" on all sides is the bottom box. Then the next 3 pieces are the divider pieces inside the box.The divider pieces are folded with the "Mountain/Valley Fold" (up and down). The 5th piece is the top. Once attached at the short ends, the bottom slides into it. A Hostess Gift!
I made this for Patti with the Big Shot and the Milk Carton Die.
The tag is a fun technique using Stampin' Dimensionals to "pop up" a part of the image. I used Pear Pizzaz and Poppy Parade Cardstock and the Studio Sketches stamp set on page 29 of the Stampin' Up! 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalog. The Big Shot and the Die are on page 204 and 209.
Thank you, Patti, for a great workshop! And special thanks to Judi and Tammy for helping me get there! We will do it again!

I ran the Oval Die through the Big Shot and then simply used tape to replace the ovals I did not want open.
I now had my oval stencil to sponge my card front.
When I applied ink to the background trees stamp, I stamped it first on scrap paper, before stamping on my card. This way, the ink was lighter. This technique is called "Stamping off".
Then, I stamped the background trees on my card with the stencil in place.
After stamping the background trees, I removed the stencil and stamped the large tree.

I just finished my Stamp Club Card Swap! The clubs are Great! We meet once a month and everyone in the club receives a turn at being the hostess. As a member, you are guaranteed a qualifying workshop, which means....FREE PRODUCT! Everyone loves 'free'!
It is a fun Halloween for stampers this year! We have the new Black Lace trim on page 8 of the Holiday Mini Catalog and on page 36, the new Glimmer Brads. I bought the Glimmer Basics set for only $4.95 and it has Black! which is perfect for Halloween and I still have the other colors for Christmas!
My spiderweb was made with an embossing folder (page 6). I stamped and sponged first, then ran it through the BIG SHOT with the embossing folder afterward. Using my sanding block, I brought out the raised spiderweb.
The black lace is ruffled by using a piece of Sticky Tape and just pressing each fold on the tape.
I can't wait to see everyone's swap at the next meeting! Would you like to join one of my clubs? Contact me today!
