Scent of Bliss

(click on image to enlarge) This is a candle I decorated for my niece. I like the flower on the cap bcz it is usually sitting next to the candle looking so plain.

Beveled Windowpanes
I love the Nature walk set! It makes me feel like I am stamping with my heart and soul. It is a great set to watercolor with.
I did not think I would be interested in the windowpanes, but after using them..... I love them!

Telescoping Circles Card

Isn't this card adorable! I found a video by Barb Mullikin at barbstamps.com and had to try it.
Here is a link to her video. Click HERE!
She used the newest circle dies for the big shot, but I was able to get the same size circles with my circle cutter. The large Scalloped circle is a big shot die.
I just love the Blushing Bride color with Crumb Cake. I was totally inspired by the February Issue of Stamping Success. The cover has these colors together for a wedding invitation and it is lovely!

I can't seem to stop making these! LoL!
They are so fast and so fun to make and you can put anything in them. The garden one has Sunflower seeds in it, the cup has Dove chocolates and the butterfly basket has chocolate easter eggs.

Ok, when I went to my hair appointment, Catherine and I were loving the coffee cup and thought, "what a cute basket that would make!"
So......I had to try it!
Same instructions, except....
I used a 9" x 4" piece of cardstock and then after scoring, cut 1/2" off the top for the handle.
I cut the handle to 7" length and attached with brads.
YAY!

Coffee Cup Treats!
This is one of the fastest little boxes I ever made!
I am going to see my hairdresser (friend!) today and wanted to give her a little something. I will pick up some special chocolates to fill it with.
Cute, right?!

Directions to make this cute little coffee cup:

Start with a 9" x 4.5" piece of cardstock or patterned paper.
You will also need a 4" x 4" coordinating scrap.

Align your paper, opposite side up with the 9" side to the top fence, left side, and score at 1", 2", 3", 4", 5", 6", 7" and 8".

Turn the paper and with the 4.5" side at the top, score at 1.5".

Cut each 1 inch score mark up to the 1.5" score line for the bottom flaps.
Remove a small rectangular end piece. Then cut the corners off of the the larger end piece on the same side to create a flap.
Turn the paper over and attach adhesive to the flap.

Fold all the scores and adhere the flap to the inside of the cup.

Adhere the opposing bottom flaps until all flaps are secure.

For the handle:
Cut or punch a smaller circle and then a larger circle over it to creat a ring.
(I used a 1-3/8" circle punch, and then I used a 2-1/2" circle punch over it.)

Cut the ring in half.
Score 1/4" flaps on each open end.
Adhere the 1/2 circles together with the flaps out.
Adhere the flaps to the cup.

Decorate!

(I think it took me longer to type the directions then to make the cup!)

Beautiful Butterflies Die!
Last night I made this pillow cover simply by sewing together 4 squares and then cutting the butterflies with the big shot and sewing them on. I sewed the seams together with the edges out so they will fray. I think I should throw it in the wash one more time to fray them more.
I used the Anywhere Glue stick to hold my butterflies in place while I sewed them. It works great with fabric!
